Once upon a time, I had a rather glamorous career at Vogue and GQ, followed by years of freelance fashion and retail event production. Hardly the conventional route to becoming a chef.
But all the while the signs were there that cooking was one of the great pleasures of my life, none more telling than being as excited to create elaborate dinners for friends as I was feeding my voracious kids and their teammates after games. Cooking just straight up made me happy.
And so a scheme was hatched to make it official, albeit a little later in life than most - time to dive headlong into the culinary world and do this. Fast forward to today, I am classically trained and hold a degree in Culinary Arts from the International Culinary Center in New York City [formerly the French Culinary Institute]. I am delighted to finally be doing what I truly love: bringing family and friends together over food.
